We are seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to join our team and provide high-quality legal support for a reputable law firm. This is a remote, contract-based position that offers flexibility and competitive compensation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal drafting, with a focus on motions and pleadings.ResponsibilitiesDraft and review motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and efficiency.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and drafting.Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in all filings.Manage deadlines and ensure the timely completion of assignments.QualificationsA minimum of 3 years of experience in legal drafting, with an emphasis on motions and pleadings.Experience in insurance defense or general defense work is highly preferred, though candidates with plaintiff-side experience will also be considered.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.New York Bar highly preferred.Additional DetailsThis is a fully remote position.Candidates must be located outside of California.The position will run for 3-6 months with a possible extension.Compensation is $45-50/hour.
