Job Summary: Oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance and industry relations within the organization. Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the company operates in full compliance with all applicable rules and standards. Essential Responsibilities/Activities:Monitors and interprets local, national, and international regulations that impact the industry in which the company operates and provides insight and strategy for product development.Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that products, processes, and operations comply with all necessary regulations.Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.Represents the company in industry forums, conferences, and other events to advocate for the company's interests.Tracks and analyzes industry developments, trends, and emerging issues that could affect the company's operations.Manages the process of obtaining and renewing necessary licenses, permits, and certifications from regulatory authorities.Works with legal teams to prepare and submit applications for regulatory approvals.Assesses potential risks related to regulatory compliance and industry changes and develops strategies to mitigate them.Implements risk management processes to identify, evaluate, and address compliance issues.Monitors proposed changes to regulations and industry standards and provides input to policymakers.Participates in industry working groups or committees to influence policy decisions that impact the company.Conducts training sessions for employees and key suppliers to raise awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Develops educational materials and resources to keep staff informed about relevant compliance issues.Prepares and submits required regulatory reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.Maintains records of compliance activities, audits, and corrective actions.Develops contingency plans to address potential regulatory or industry-related crises.Responds to incidents of non-compliance and implements corrective actions.Reviews and enhances the company's regulatory and industry affairs strategies and processes on a continuous basis.Recommends improvements to streamline compliance activities and optimize resource allocation. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15 years of industry experience.Experience designing and testing HVAC equipment and complying with industry test standards.Product management experience. Essential Mental Functions:Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and external stakeholders.Strong communication and negotiation skills to advocate for the company’s interests effectively.Ability to understand and develop industry testing and efficiency standards.Ability to present regulation and industry updates to multiple audiences in an engaging way.Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.Knowledge and understanding of the company database system a plus.Chemistry or chemical experience a plus. Essential Physical Functions:Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.Travel may be required including overnight stays.
