Bringing Home the Dough

The Associate General Counsel provides legal advice and counsel to the internal corporate executive team and the management teams of the corporate office and subsidiaries of the company on a variety of legal topics including contracts, data privacy, and intellectual property.

Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location and at locations around the company.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, with a focus on tech-related and/or complex commercial contracts, MSAs, Vendor Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Data Processing Agreements, and Ad-Tech Agreements, ensuring they are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Advise on and negotiate terms and conditions of commercial contracts with external vendors, customers, and suppliers
  • Identify and evaluate legal and business risks associated with commercial contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Establish and maintain scalable contracting processes and templates
  • Legal matter management and oversight of legal disputes, litigation, and other legal matters in connection with the engagement of outside legal counsel
  • Provide practical, timely, and strategic legal advice and counsel on privacy and data security-related matters across the enterprise
  • Support management of the Company’s intellectual property portfolio
  • Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in the practice of law, with a preference for 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department
  • 3+ years experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiations, including vendor contracts, master purchase agreements, and master services agreements
  • 3+ years experience with technology contracts (preferred)
     

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school (required)
  • Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state
