Mayer Brown LLP seeks a Staff Attorney to advise on global trademark clearance, prosecution filings, and office action responses. Communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, and other counsel. Conduct client interviews and provide legal consultation under the supervision of senior attorneys. Conduct legal research and analysis. Draft legal documents related to critical client matters based upon analyses of applicable laws. Prepare guidance to clients in the protection and enforcement of trademarks to successfully secure and enforce trademarks. Monitor the usage and compliance with client intellectual property rights by third parties worldwide. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field, and 1 year of experience with global trademark prosecution and enforcement. Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with updating and maintaining docketing databases, generating due dates, verifying and clearing daily action deadlines and reminders, and preparing system reports; 1 year of experience with advising on trademark clearance strategy; and 1 year of experience with trademark prosecution, opinion work, and support for litigation. Must be admitted to practice law in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. Commonwealth, U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or Mexico.
Job location: Washington, DC.
Rate of Pay: $118,664.00 - $265,000.00 per year
