About The Team And Position
The Treasury Operations Fraud Investigator maintains and summarizes various finance-related reports specifically relating to the prevention and discovery of fraud, both pre- and post-vehicle purchase. You will work with our Operations Teams to establish and maintain new processes and monitor the collection and reconciliation of outstanding accounts via internal reporting. Most importantly, you will see your knowledge and insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company.
What You’ll Be Doing
Conducting extensive investigations of suspected and confirmed fraud allegations by collecting evidence, researching transactions, analyzing the relevant documentation, and reporting findings. Identifying trends within casework to bring awareness to fraudulent activity.Liaising with victims of fraud to support and resolve instances of identity and bank account theft and prevent lawsuits. Partnering with Legal/Compliance to reach resolutions (e.g., recover vehicles by drafting court-order repossession letters and notices). Filing Aclaimant tickets to Corporate Insurance to determine whether reconciliation funds can be collected as a result of identity theft for Corporate Insurance to track fraudulent cases.Equipping Safe & Secure teams with the knowledge to report claims in conjunction with Market Operations to report stolen vehicles. Interacting with law enforcement agencies and banks to validate fraudulent activities.Formulating, affecting, interpreting, and enhancing policies, practices, and processes to prevent fraud.Building and broadcasting training resources and help guides to provide leaders with the latest fraud identification and prevention procedures.
What You Should Know/have
High school diploma or equivalent.Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. The ability to recognize problems, take the initiative to solve them, and escalate issues to facilitate timely resolution.Ability to manage and prioritize a large and varied caseload effectively.Determination to succeed and complete investigations in a thorough and timely manner.High attention to detail.A sense of humor - Kinda serious about this one A love for working with others and a strong understanding of teamwork
It would be great if you also had
Bachelor’s degree.Familiarity with payments, transactions, and banking.Experience compiling, organizing, and sharing accurate information with stakeholders to support decisions.
