We are on the lookout for a Professional Legal Administrator to collaborate directly with the Law Firm Principal/Owner. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of the firm except for the practice of law. This pivotal position requires strategic planning, project management, and essential administrative and financial supervision. Additionally, you will play a crucial leadership role in molding and upholding the firm's culture. This position goes beyond traditional administrative roles like administrative assistant, paralegal, or office manager. While some remote work is possible, this is predominantly an in-person role. If relocation is a concern, we are willing to assist. We are in search of a Law Firm Administrator who excels in workflow, systems, and project management. You should have a profound understanding of employee engagement, be driven by metrics and KPIs, and be dedicated to making significant contributions to the firm's success. The ability to foster teamwork and cultivate a positive team culture is essential. Compensation

$90,000 - $125,000 base salary + incentive compensation

Responsibilities

You must be able to show evidence of your prior success with

  • Playing a role in the management of teams of 15+ people and budgets of $5,000,000 or more
  • Systems management and process refinement to ensure matters are handled appropriately so that client needs are met, legal and ethical requirements are met, and clients receive excellent service
  • Employee engagement and leadership, management, supervision, and termination
  • Measuring what matters and using common financial reports to make business decisions (budget variance, PL, cashflow forecast)
  • Managing vendors such as bookkeepers, accountants, marketing, and technology services in a constructive but also cost-conscious way

Qualifications

  • Ideal applicants will have the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities recommended by the Association of Legal Administrators
  • Prior experience in a law firm or accounting firm is required
  • HR and Operations experience is required
  • Familiarity with OKRs is helpful
  • Knowledge of our areas of practice (Family Law and Estate Planning) will be helpful but not essential
  • In all cases, you need to commit to getting yourself up to speed quickly because you will be expected to make sure cases and clients are getting the attention they need and that the staff is following the rules
  • Have an energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Possess a great attitude and are focused on team success
  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure successfully
  • Be able to work in-house or with outsourced experts to purchase, lease, and maintain computers, programs, servers, off-site backups, cell phones, and all other equipment required for the efficient operation of the firm
  • Have ease and familiarity with technology and software
  • Be accountable for results not just efforts
