Job Summary: As a Real Estate Paralegal, you will support attorneys and clients in all aspects of real estate transactions and legal matters. You will play a crucial role in managing files, conducting research, and ensuring that all legal documents and procedures are handled efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review real estate documents including purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.
- Conduct title searches and analyze title reports.
- Coordinate and manage closings, including preparing settlement statements and facilitating communication between parties.
- Assist in the drafting and filing of legal documents with government agencies.
- Conduct due diligence and gather information relevant to real estate transactions.
- Manage and organize client files and case documentation.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, and other professionals to facilitate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Paralegal certification preferred (e.g., NALA, NFPA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, property law, and legal procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
