This Intern position will offer law students an opportunity for paid practical experience across a variety of practice areas supporting the Bright Horizons Legal Department. This experience is valuable to law students as a means of allowing them to understand how their studies are applied in an active business setting.

What you will be doing:

  • Review commercial leases and prepare lease summaries in connection with the implementation of an enterprise-wide Real Estate Management System.
  • Perform legal research involving sustainability reporting legislation and other state and federal laws and regulations impacting the company and support company sustainability initiatives generally.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Observe client and landlord meetings and negotiations.
  • Other tasks as needed in the course of working in a dynamic in-house legal department of a publicly traded company.

What we hope you will bring to the role:

Education

College degree. Must be enrolled as either a full-time or part-time JD student

Experience

0-2 years of experience required in the field or in a related area

Additional Job Requirements

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain a positive attitude; and solid customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
