She assumed roles such as Regional Chief Executive Officer & Chief Legal Officer at Aviva Investors Americas and Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel at Old Mutual Capital, a division of Old Mutual Asset Management (now BrightSphere Investment Group).
Her expertise extends beyond the private sector; Purkalitis served as Branch Chief & Enforcement Attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Denver. Additionally, her contributions as a prosecution expert witness in complex criminal securities fraud cases for the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Utah and Nevada highlight her commitment to upholding regulatory standards.
Purkalitis holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Denver College of Law, where she also served as an adjunct professor teaching courses in securities regulation and international business transactions. Her undergraduate studies earned her a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska.
