Campbell Soup Company, a leading food and beverage company, has announced a pivotal move within its leadership, appointing Charles A. Brawley III as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, effective November 30, 2023.
 
Charles A. Brawley III's journey within Campbell Soup Company commenced in 2016, marked by his steady progression through various legal roles. His most recent position as their Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Deputy General Counsel showcased his adeptness in handling legal facets related to corporate governance, securities law, and commercial contracts. Now, with this promotion, Brawley assumes a broader spectrum of responsibility, overseeing Campbell's Legal department inclusive of Government Affairs, Global Security, and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. He will report directly to Mark Clouse, Campbell's President, and Chief Executive Officer, further cementing his influence within the company's Operating Committee.
 
According to Clouse, Brawley has played a crucial role in shaping Campbell's strategy and business. His expertise and close collaboration with the company's leadership have made him an ideal candidate for this critical role. Clouse expressed his confidence in Brawley's ability to build upon the company's momentum and drive its success further.
 
Before joining Campbell Soup Company, Brawley served as the Senior Vice President, Secretary, and Associate General Counsel of Lincoln Financial Group. He also gained valuable experience during his tenure at PMA Capital Corporation and Cigna Corporation. Brawley began his legal career with the esteemed law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in Philadelphia.
 
Brawley's academic prowess includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Saint Joseph's University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania.
