In an undisclosed deal, e-discovery and legal services provider Consilio is acquiring two UK companies, Lawyers On Demand (LOD) and SYKE, a legal tech consultancy. This acquisition is not only expected to boost Consilio’s presence in the United Kingdom but is also set to expand the company’s Enterprise Legal Services operations, across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Lawyers On Demand (LOD), a firm well known for its staffing and advisory roles, is set to provide Consilio with a larger workforce to handle increased demand. Equally, the acquisition of SYKE, a legal tech consultancy is seen as a strategic move to scale tech-oriented legal services.
This acquisition follows a pattern of expansion for Consilio, who in recent years, have been working to bolster the company’s enterprise legal services capabilities and international reach. The transaction was signed on 1 August, 2023.
