Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers Urges ABA to Adopt New Rules of Conduct - The group of lawyers called upon the ABA to adopt a new version of Model Rule 5.5 that would eliminate the traditional state-based limitation on law practice which allows lawyers to practice law only in the states they've been admitted. NYC Pay Transparency Law to Take Effect in May - Despite a bill which could delay the effective day to later this year, the NYC pay transparency law will take effect May 15. This bill will require NYC employers with 4+ employees to include the salary range in job posts. More here.
