Has anyone been the sole in-house lawyer for a company? What did your day-to-day life look like? I have an opportunity at a mid-size international company (~$1 billion annually) and would basically be the only in-house lawyer. I’m fine being the person giving advice, etc. but am concerned that the day-to-day minutiae (drafting agreements, research, etc) will all fall on me. For background, I’m 20+ years out and have worked in BigLaw my entire career. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
