We are looking for an expert technology attorney to join Apple’s Wallet and Payments legal team, with a primary focus on product counseling, but also on other commercial, consumer, and legal matters.
 
Description

You will be responsible for advising and providing support to the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team on a wide range of issues related to offering consumer products and other services through digital wallets, including transit passes, tickets and keys. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deep understanding of laws, regulations and industry standards that apply to services provided by Apple and its partners. 2. Serve as a product counsel and advise business and product teams on legal and regulatory requirements applicable to digital wallets. 3. Advise on legal aspects of Apple’s relationships with third parties. 4. Advise on contract structure and commercial terms for Apple’s partners and customers. You will be part of a close-knit local team and a global team spanning across the US, Europe, Asia and around the world.
 
Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience
  • Significant experience advising on digital wallets and other technology product-related issues as well as negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements for technology transactions
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with laws, regulations and industry standards applicable to technology transactions
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or proven ability to learn quickly and support new areas of regulation and technology
  • Strong work ethic and collaboration skills including with an international team
  • Strong intellectual property law and technology transactions background
  • Experience advising on legal and regulatory requirements applicable to payments
  • Able to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications
  • Ability to lead, take action and provide direction in the face of ambiguity and to get results in diverse, fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical capability with attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships and partner at all levels of the organization
