Legal.io has partnered with a prominent fintech company to add a Corporate/Commercial counsel to its Legal team. This is a full-time/W2 role with an initial term of 3 months, and the strong potential to convert to FTE.

Responsibilities

Commercial support across the Legal team (drafting and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, Licensing, and Vendor agreements, etc.);

Transactional support across the Treasury, Finance, and Tax teams team (corporate finance and banking matters, intercompany agreements, internal and external audits, corporate governance, and general corporate matters);

Intellectual Property support across the Product team (working cross-functionally with engineers and Product stakeholders);

Labor/Employment and Pre-Litigation support as needed.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active admission to any State bar.

5+ years of directly related legal experience

Familiarity with Data Privacy & Licensing is also required.

Direct experience in the fintech/crypto industry is preferred, but not required.

Role Details

Anticipated Start Date: July/August 2023

Full-time W2 (40hrs/wk)

Targeted Hourly Rate: $100-$125/hour (annualized at $200k-$250k)
